About Christine Paiva CVT, PGRS-C, GC-C, EFTMP-C
I was recently laid off from my job as an office manager and realized I really want to do something I am passionate about which is mindset coaching, reiki/energy work, EFT tapping, and animal communication. I help women 50+ navigate their second act of life so they can build the relationships, career and health they desire.
I am committed to strengthening the human-animal bond with pet lovers and their pets. I have been a animal lover since I was a little girl. I have been a certified veterinary technician in the state of Massachusetts for 30+ years. I have owned many cats, dogs, and fish. I became interested in animal communication when my beloved golden retriever, Chance, died suddenly. I struggled with closure, because I didn't get a chance to say goodbye. I contacted an animal communicator. Through my session with her, I was able to attain closure with Chance. I also learned through our session that he was still with me when I needed him. This piqued my interest in animal communication. I have always felt my animals' presences after they had passed...out of the corner of my eye a tail going around a corner or I'd feel a rub against my leg and yet no one was there. When I adopted Lefty, my "handi-capable" cat (who had been badly abused by someone), I enlisted the help of another communicator to help me figure out what my deaf, sight impaired boy needed to fit into our household better. What I realized through that session is that I have the ability to talk openly and honestly to my animals and the ability to listen to them. Lefty was an awesome teacher of wordless communication. With my skills as a Reiki practitioner, I worked with him every night. Years later, when it was time to say goodbye to him, I was of course, heartbroken, but realized he had given me the greatest gift of his trust. Animals are amazing communicators, but most humans just don't take the time to listen to them. Animals are beings of love and energy and are just willing to share these gifts with us. They are also very receptive to reiki and energy work.
Throughout my years as a veterinary technician, I have helped many people with end of life transitions and what comes before and after the loss of a pet. I think this is one of the most important visits at the vet's office for an owner and their pet. I strived to make this visit as comfortable as possible for the owner and their pet. I have also had countless phone conversations with owners who just needed to talk through their feelings after the loss of their pet. Pet loss is usually the first loss a person experiences as a child. It is important to help someone understand grief is normal and no two people go through it the same way.
I received my B.A. in Psychology with a mental health concentration from Southern New Hampshire University. I received my Pet Loss Grief Recovery Specialist Certification (PGRS-C), Grief Counselor Certification (GC-C) and Certified Master EFT Practitioner & Certified Meridian Energy Health Tapping Practitioner (EFTMP-C) from The American Academy of Grief Counseling. I am a Certified Level I & II Reiki Practitioner. I believe people and animals are made up of energy and that Reiki helps with the flow of energy and overall well-being.
I currently live with one black lab, two German Shepherds, four cats and occasional foster animals. Our favorite place to be is at our house near the beach.
